Dichordophora phoenix, adult male. Collection of the Entomology Department, Rutgers University. Specimen collected Tub Canyon, vic. Borrego, San Diego Co., CA, April, 1952.
Dichordophora phoenix, adult female. Collection of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia (ANSP). Specimen collected Cochise Co., AZ, 23 May, 1993.
Dichordophora phoenix is the only US species in the tribe Dichordophorini.  

The species below is a Mexican species of Dichordophora, which appears in wing shape and line width to be somewhat different from the Dichordophora phoenix pictured above. The Mexican species below, Collection of Carnegie Museum of Natural History (CMNH), collected Guerrero, June 1982.
